Our clients asked for a total renovation and extension of this existing row-house. The house would be rented out, so we had a white canvas to make our design. We opted for a neutral background of white walls and wood floors with different color accents per level: blue tones on the ground level, terracotta on the first, and pale green tones on the top floor. These are color palettes that were popular during the time of the construction of the original house in the 1930’s.
We made a modern extension to the back patio and kept the historical look on the new top level facing the street, so it would fit with the surroundings. With these two additions the house almost doubled its usable surface making it better fitted for a family home.
